NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College athletic department announced their 2025-26 athletic awards at their annual student-athlete banquet Monday night. As voted on by the entire athletic department, Amy Lauby (Fairmont, Neb.) earned the Female Character Student-Athlete of the Year award, Giuseppe Salvatore (Johnstown, Colo.) won the Male Character Student-Athlete of the Year award, Aaliyah Jones (Rapid City, S.D.) was the recipient of the Female Athlete of the Year award and Len Valkema (Leewarden, Netherlands) earned the Male Student-Athlete of the Year award.
AMES, Iowa – Northeast Community College has set an athletic department school record with 119 student-athletes named to the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Fall Academic All-Region Teams, breaking the previous record of 114. There were 80 First Team Academic All-Region members.
NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College volleyball team hosted the semifinals of the Region 11-A Tournament Saturday at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk. The Hawks fell in the playoff match by a final score of 3-2 in five sets.

MASON CITY, Iowa – The Northeast Community College volleyball team traveled to Mason City, Iowa Tuesday night for a conference showdown with North Iowa Area Community College. The Hawks captured a five-set victory by a final score of 3-2 for their first triumph in five sets this season.
COLUMBUS, Neb. – The Northeast Community College volleyball team traveled to Columbus, Nebraska Friday for a neutral-site matchup against Highland Community College. The Hawks fell by a final score of 3-0 in the contest.
IOWA FALLS, Iowa – The Northeast Community College volleyball team was on the road Wednesday night for a conference battle against Ellsworth Community College. The Hawks swept the Panthers by a final score of 3-0 to remain in sole possession of third place in the ICCAC standings.
NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College volleyball team hosted Western Iowa Tech Community College and Doane University JV Wednesday at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk as part of a triangular. The Hawks swept both matches by final scores of 3-0 on Parents Night and Sophomore Night.
CONCORDIA, Kan. – The Northeast Community College volleyball team was in Arkansas City, Kansas Friday to battle Coffeyville Community College and No. 1 Cowley County Community College before taking on Pratt Community College and Cloud County Community College Saturday in Concordia, Kansas. The Hawks downed Coffeyville by a final score of 3-1, fell to No. 1 Cowley County 3-0, swept Pratt 3-0 and were defeated by Cloud County 3-2.
COLUMBUS, Neb. – The Northeast Community College volleyball team was in Columbus, Nebraska Tuesday night for a showdown with Central Community College in what was the first-ever meeting during ICCAC play of the two schools less than an hour apart. The Hawks took the matchup by a final score of 3-1 to move to three games above .500 in conference play.
LINCOLN, Neb. – The Northeast Community College volleyball team traveled to Lincoln, Nebraska Friday night for a matchup against Nebraska Wesleyan University JV. The Hawks fell in the showdown by a final score of 3-0.

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Northeast Community College volleyball team was in Overland Park, Kansas over the weekend to compete against Lincoln Land Community College, Fort Scott Community College and No. 5 Johnson County Community College. The Hawks fell to Lincoln Land by a final score of 3-1, swept Fort Scott 3-0 and dropped the match to Johnson County by a final score of 3-0.

BOONE, Iowa – The Northeast Community College volleyball team headed to Boone, Iowa Thursday night for a conference showdown with No. 16 Des Moines Area Community College. The Hawks fell in duel by a final score of 3-0.
