AHLEMEYER HOMERS TWICE AS HAWKS PLAY FOUR OVER THE WEEKEND AT HOME
NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College softball team played host to Iowa Central Community College and No. 16 North Iowa Area Community College. The Hawks fell to the Tritons by final scores of 4-1 and 3-1 and dropped their Sunday contests to the Trojans 11-2 and 10-2.

NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College softball team played host to Iowa Central Community College and No. 16 North Iowa Area Community College Saturday and Sunday. The Hawks fell to the Tritons by final scores of 4-1 and 3-1 and dropped their Sunday contests to the Trojans 11-2 and 10-2.
Northeast (8-21, 0-6 ICCAC) was led in the circle in Game 1 against the Tritons by Isabel Raburn (Holdrege, Neb.) as the sophomore struck out eight batters in her first appearance of the weekend. Bailee Ahlemeyer (Cambridge, Neb.) blasted a home run in the first showdown of the day while Amy Lauby (Fairmont, Neb.) struck out three in seven innings of work in Game 2.
Ahlemeyer homered again for the Hawks in Game 1 Sunday against the nationally-ranked Trojans and Emilee Sirdoreus (Laramie, Wyo.) also sent a ball over the fence in the ballgame. Both Ahlemeyer and Sirdoreus picked up RBIs in the second matchup of the day as Northeast will now look ahead to hosting Central Community College in a doubleheader Wednesday afternoon.
