The Hawks fell to the Knights by a final score of 1-0 to end what was another historic season for the defending national champions.
Northeast (15-5-1, 6-2-1 ICCAC) and CCBC both were victorious in their first matches at the national tournament in Pool D, which set up a fixture where the winner Tuesday would automatically head to the national semifinals on Thursday. The Hawks had 33 shots in the contest compared to just nine from the Knights, but a goal 13 minutes into the contest from CCBC Essex was the difference in the showdown.
