Bears tame Hawks in ICCAC action
NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College men’s basketball team couldn’t overcome a tough first half, falling to Des Moines Area Community College, 78-57 on Wednesday night at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.

NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College men's basketball team couldn't overcome a tough first half, falling to Des Moines Area Community College, 78-57 on Wednesday night at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.
Both teams were unable to score more than 25 points in the entire first half. The Bears went on to nearly double their output in the second half, ultimately creating tough matchups for the Hawks (3-17, 3-17 ICCAC) down the stretch.
Jared Lopez (Lincoln, Neb.) tallied 22 points. Evan Decker (Omaha, Neb.) had 15 points and eight rebounds, while Michael Anderson (Lincoln, Neb.) added 10 points, five rebounds and five assists.
The Hawks look to get back on track at 3 p.m. Saturday when they visit Marshalltown Community College in Marshalltown, Iowa.
