BRILLEMAN LEADS GROUP OF EIGHT FROM NORTHEAST WOMEN’S SOCCER NAMED ALL-REGION
AMES, Iowa – The Northeast Community College women’s soccer team placed eight different student-athletes on the various all-region teams, it was announced by the ICCAC. Emma Brilleman (Diepenveen, Netherlands), Malana Gurmendi (Boulder, Colo.) and Addison Osilka (Fort Collins, Colo.) were named First Team All-Region, Maria Gomez-Herrera (Barranquilla, Colombia), Alia Gordon (Cibolo, Texas) and Sarah Huckels (Essen, Germany) were named Second Team All-Region and Helena Chetcuti (Melbourne, Australia) and Hailey Holbrook (Broomfield, Colo.) were named Honorable Mention All-Region.

Emma Brilleman (Diepenveen, Netherlands), Malana Gurmendi (Boulder, Colo.) and Addison Osilka (Fort Collins, Colo.) were named First Team All-Region, Maria Gomez-Herrera (Barranquilla, Colombia), Alia Gordon (Cibolo, Texas) and Sarah Huckels (Essen, Germany) were named Second Team All-Region and Helena Chetcuti (Melbourne, Australia) and Hailey Holbrook (Broomfield, Colo.) were named Honorable Mention All-Region.
Emma Brilleman finished second in the voting for ICCAC Player of the Year as she scored nine goals and eight assists for the Hawks throughout her freshman season. Malana Gurmendi scored two goals for Northeast out of the midfield against Dakota County Technical College in the Region 11 Tournament Quarterfinals and totaled 13 points throughout the season. Addison Osilka scored the game-winning goal for Northeast against Southeastern Community College on October 4 and was a force for the Hawks in the midfield throughout her season.
Maria Gomez-Herrera commanded the defense for the Hawks all season long and even scored a game-winning goal against Northwest Iowa Community College. Alia Gordon controlled the center of Northeast's defense that recorded seven shutouts. Sarah Huckels was named NJCAA National Goalie of the Week earlier this year and was dominant in the net for the Hawks.
Helena Chetcuti was another member of the Northeast defense who held together the backline all season while Hailey Holbrook (Broomfield, Colo.) found the back of the net eight different times in 2025.
