HAWKS TOP PANTHERS BY 43 WEDNESDAY

NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College women's basketball team hit their home floor Wednesday night at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk for the first time in over a week for a contest with Ellsworth Community College. The Hawks triumphed in the game by a final score of 90-47.

The Hawks (13-9, 6-6 ICCAC) made quick work of the Panthers and led the entire game. Northeast shot 47.8-percent from the field and 43.8-percent from three in the matchup. Stevi Fallis (Pine Ridge, S.D.) totaled a double-double with 10 points and 11 assists while five different players for the Hawks were in double figures in points.

Northeast had 25 bench points in the showdown as they will now focus on the remaining five games on the regular season schedule.

The Hawks will take a day off and then return to the court as they will host Midland University JV at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.
