HAWKS COMPLETE ROAD TRIP TO TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA
GAINESVILLE, Texas and TISHOMINGO, Okla. – The Northeast Community College softball team traveled to Gainesville, Texas and Tishomingo, Oklahoma over the weekend to take on North Central Texas College and No. 1 Murray State College. The Hawks dropped both contests to North Central Texas by final scores of 3-0 and 7-2 and fell in both matchups to Murray State by final scores of 10-2 and 17-2.

The Hawks dropped both contests to North Central Texas by final scores of 3-0 and 7-2 and fell in both matchups to Murray State by final scores of 10-2 and 17-2.
Northeast (0-8) was led in the circle throughout the four ballgames by Isabel Raburn (Holdrege, Neb.) as the sophomore struck out six batters over the four-game trip and allowed just three earned runs against North Central Texas. Bailee Ahlemeyer (Cambridge, Neb.) picked up three hits for the Hawks as Northeast will return home before heading to Kansas for a six-game stretch on February 26-28.

Head Softball Coach Erin Sharpe on the weekend as a whole:
"I think our offensive production is starting to get there," Sharpe said. "We are just a few hits away from it clicking and us looking like a completely different team. I am looking forward to our trip to Kansas City as we are playing tough teams to start our season to prepare us for conference play. We are starting to make strides, and it will all click together very soon."
