NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College men's soccer team couldn't find its groove on Friday, falling to Northeastern Junior College, 5-1 at Veterans Memorial Field in Norfolk.
Northeastern was able to put three balls in the back of the net in the first half, keeping the Hawks (0-2) at bay for much of the contest. Paul Einero (Cape Town, South Africa) put the Hawks on the scoreboard in the 67th-minute, but the Plainsmen quickly answered with a goal in the 79th-minute.
The Hawks were outshot, 14-3. Jyson Breitbarth (Hilo, Hawaii) tallied five saves in the loss.
