In the fall of 2025, the Hawks rose to No. 4 in the NJCAA DII Men’s Golf Rankings, which was the highest ranking for the men’s golf program in its history at Northeast. Throughout the fall, Northeast finished second at the Mount Marty Invitational in Yankton, South, Dakota and won the Battle for the Mississippi against some of the top teams in the nation in Sherrard, Illinois.

The birdie also gave Whyte the individual victory by one stroke. Emilio Lechuga Franco finished in a tie for fifth place while Tommy Dredla finished tied for 12th to help bolster the team score.
The 2024-25 season for the Hawks was the most successful yet during Heimes' time at the helm of the men’s golf program as the Hawks picked up multiple victories throughout the season and qualified for the 2025 NJCAA DII Men's Golf Championship at Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, Indiana.
During the fall portion of the season, Freshman Luke Bonser won the Mount Marty Invitational in Yankton, South Dakota by three strokes in August while Jacob Harnden and Tyler Baumchen finished tied for third and tied for eighth at the Nebraska Intercollegiate in October in Hastings, Nebraska.

Back in Sioux City, Iowa later in April, Tyler Baumchen buried a 40-foot putt on the last hole to secure the second team victory of the spring for the Hawks at the Region 11 Preview against the best teams in Northeast’s district. Bryson Parker also finished tied for sixth in the event.
Later in the month, the Hawks won their third event of the spring at the Southwestern Premier in Panora, Iowa. Tyler Baumchen, Jacob Harnden and Gunther Soltvedt all finished in the top 10 of the tournament.

Parker held a three-shot lead entering the third round Tuesday after a blistering score of 68 Monday and performed even better on Tuesday with a tournament-best score of 66. Parker started Round 3 by making a 20-foot putt for birdie never lifted his foot off the gas from there as he finished his round with six birdies and an eagle. His three-day scores were 72, 68 and 66.
Heimes won the tournament as an individual in 2022, Santiago Valdes won in 2023 and Parker’s victory in 2025 to gave the Hawks an individual winner in three of the last four seasons.
After a big performance at the North Central District Tournament, Heimes was named Region 11 Coach of the Year while Tyler Baumchen, Bryson Parker and Luke Bonser were all named First Team All-Region.

Sophomore Tyler Baumchen finished in a tie for 15th, which earned him NJCAA Second Team All-American honors. Baumchen got going early in his round as four-straight birdies on holes three, four, five and six put him in a position to have his lowest round of the week and another birdie on the back nine of the course clinched another All-American honor for the Hawks.
The end of the tournament also signaled the end of one of the most successful campaign in the history of the men's golf program at Northeast as the team finished the season with two individual winners of tournaments, three event victories, three ICCAC First Team All-Region players, an ICCAC Coach of the Year Award and a player named Second Team All-American.
