NORTHEAST SCORES 50 RUNS IN WEDNESDAY SPLIT WITH IOWA LAKES
NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College baseball team hosted Iowa Lakes Community College at Norfolk Veterans Memorial Field Wednesday for a doubleheader. The Hawks split the two showdowns, dropping Game 1 by a final score of 15-10 and taking Game 2 by a final score of 40-7.

NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College baseball team hosted Iowa Lakes Community College at Norfolk Veterans Memorial Field Wednesday for a doubleheader. The Hawks split the two showdowns, dropping Game 1 by a final score of 15-10 and taking Game 2 by a final score of 40-7.
Northeast (28-21, 11-9 ICCAC) recorded 14 hits during the first ballgame of the day as sophomore Hayden Parrish (Omaha, Neb.) recorded three RBIs in the matchup. In total, seven different players for the Hawks drove in runs in the showdown despite ultimately falling.
In Game 2, Northeast put up 19 runs in the first inning and never looked back as the Hawks launched 11 home runs in route to a run-rule victory. Brady Fitzpatrick (Bellevue, Neb.) and Kye Privett (Papillion, Neb.) both tallied six RBIs as Fitzpatrick, Benjamin Northrup (Monroe, Utah), Emmett Minderman (Papillion, Neb.) and Giuseppe Salvatore (Johnstown, Colo.) all homered twice and Brody Goeser (Council Bluffs, Iowa) launched the first home run of his career Wednesday.
