HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:
Head Baseball Coach Marcus Clapp on Northeast's two victories on Saturday:
"I thought Caden Rezac threw well and kept them pretty quiet all game," Clapp said. "We didn't really get going offensively until the fifth inning, but Brady Fitzpatrick had a big day at the plate and got us going. Good to see him have a day!"
Clapp on what worked for his group in Sunday's victory:
"We pitched really well," Clapp said. "Punching out 22 in a game is the most ever. Beckett Lund was much better today, and the pen did their job. Offensively, it took us a little to get going, but we found a way. We have to make quicker adjustments at the plate."
UP NEXT:
The Hawks will welcome No. 15 Iowa Central Community College to town for a single game beginning at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Norfolk Veterans Memorial Field in Norfolk.
