HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:
Head Baseball Coach Marcus Clapp on the Friday split:
"It was nice to find a way to split after Game 1 just got away from us," Clapp said. "Carter Noakes has been swinging it well. He has been a spark plug at the top of the lineup. I thought Cole Kuszak and Max Denson threw well. We just need to cut down on the free bases."
Clapp on what he is looking for this week from his group:
"We just have to keep competing and not hurt ourselves," Clapp said.
UP NEXT:
The Hawks will welcome NJCAA DI Iowa Western Community College to town and will battle the Reivers at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday at Norfolk Veterans Memorial Baseball Field in Norfolk.
